Just finished watching this show starring the dark-headed-english-accented Amanda Tapping.

I probably won't watch anymore of it. It just didn't capture my interest. It seemed like Psych meets X-Files.

Plus, Tapping's english accent not only seemed weird, it wasn't that great.

I kind of like it. I only saw the first few mini-episodes of the web series, but I noticed they made a lot of changes and did some re-shooting. I won't plan my Friday around it, but I've set my DVR to record it.

I'm not sure what to think of it yet.
I really don't like the CG factor in it. It was distracting to me. Especially the scene were Amanda and the "new guy" (Forget names) were on the top of a part of the castle, going on to a ledge or something. This was kind of a moment were the conversation was important. But I was thinking in my head "wow that CG looks really crappy right now" and completely ignoring the conversation in the process.

Other than that, I like Amanda's daughter :) :)

Yeah, for all the hype about the CG work, I wasn't impressed with that either.

I watched it on the web some months back. I thought it was decent enough, all things considered. I'm not going to stay home on friday night to watch it, but I'll watch it at my leisure.

Sci-Fi shows must be written by Java programmers, because the sheer amount of re-usability in their cast...

There was too much green screening going on - not enough actual, physical sets, which is one of the reasons why I think Stargate didn't come of as hokey as it risked doing.

Didn't watch the second episode, but I think Tapping's daughter is a vampire .

I think it has potential, but it's success will depend heavily on how good their over arching storyline is. Tapping also needs to mute her accent down. It just sound wrong.

As far as the CG goes, why not just just license Cry Engine 2 or something? It'd look better, especially since they don't care about real time rendering.

The accent isn't especially bad; a bit upper-class maybe, but given the character I imagine that's what they were going for.

It's true; I mean she grew up in an English home. It just needs to be rounded out. As long as she continues to develop it, it will sound a bit more natural.

The CG in the web series was pretty obvious, but that was because the budget wasn't all that high. I would assume it will be a little bit better as the series continues.

To clarify, it's green screen and you can tell that it's green screen.
