USB Input for PDA

Okay, so I have a Dell Axim x50v PDA and it's pretty cool. It has a big slot for CF cards, and this slot can also be used for various additional attachments (like TV tuner, camera, etc). I really want some sort of USB input for it, so I can copy files from a USB stick onto my PDA without having to sync it with some computer. Does this exist? I don't even really know what to google for, so does anyone have any idea if this gadget exists and where I can get it from?

Like NoESC said, the key word to look for is "host". My old NEC P200 had USB host, but it required a special cable that was ridiculously hard to find. Why they didn't just put a standard USB port on it is beyond me.

I just did a search for "cfio usb host" and this was one of the first results. It's ridiculously expensive, but maybe there's something else out there.

[edit]I'd also make sure drivers and such exist for your particular PDA before you buy anything. Who knows.

This is about all I could find. Pricey though.

Also, I can kill you with my brain.

Yeah, using an SD card that has a built in USB connector instead of your old flash drive is probably a way cheaper and more simple solution.

I'm thinking of getting a PDA-phone in the near future, are there many that can run windows apps? Or is that asking to much?

What I'd like to be able to do is data-log my car using ALDL cable -> USB input on PDA. It would save me from lugging a laptop around.

I think windows mobile is in name only, I did some searching, it doesn't seem likely that what I want is possible unless the datalogging software is rebuilt for a PDA OS.

Does your PDA have Bluetooth? If you're able to find a Bluetooth adapter to use it may be to link your PDA that way. I use it for my mobile and thats how I copy my photos. Intresting question though :).
