"However, knowing Blizzard, we're guessing the games will be less of a Zerg-rush and more of a Zerg-Half-Life 2 Episode Three."

Ha! Also, true.... boo.

"Pardo also noted that Blizzard sliced and diced StarCraft 2's campaign not for fat stacks of cash (WoW would get jealous, after all), but in order to avoid delaying the game or cutting corners on quality."

Wow, since when has Blizzard been worried about delaying a game?
Sorry for the lousy German

Well, in all honesty, Starcraft 2 has some pretty big shoes to fill.

Well isn't it just basically a big expansion pack? It's not really filling shoes so much as just polishing em.

But how does this work. You can buy any one of them and play online with all the features? And just buy the other ones if you want to do campaign? I never played the campaign in the original or expansion, I found it to be boring.

Well go back and play it, the storyline is excellent.

I hate the whole "stand-alone game-not-an-expansion-pack" they do these days. It's another way of saying, "Remember how we used to charge 20$ for this much content? Well, now it's $50."

Intresting, but the background's worth it methinks :)
I played StarCraft once...
