For many moons, men have told their children the legend of Excalibur. The legend goes that a man, destined to be king, would pull the mighty Sword out of a stone. With it, he would go on to rule all mankind.
Some believe Excalibur exists. Others believe it is simply fiction. Still others believe that the Sword and the Stone are mere metaphors for a more exhaulted prize. I belong to this third group - the group that believes the Sword represents something else, something more powerful than any blade forged of steel, and that the Stone is no simple rock. We believe that the Sword is a Sandwich, that the Stone... creativity.
And friends, today... I have pulled the sword from the stone. I have pulled the ultimate Sandwich from creativity.
I've been searching for The Stone for all my life. I thought I had found it so many times... There was the pizza peanut butter and jelly sandwich, there was the "Vegetarian at a BBQ" sandwich (hamburger bun with ketchup and potato chips inside), and many other failures.
Today, I discovered Excalibur. Forged not from metal, but from food, the recipe for this magnificent creation is as follows:
Fruit spread, mixed from straw, blue, and blackberries.
A spoonful of Salsa, hot and spicy.
Two slices of turkey, white and cut thin.
Apple crisps, homemade and fresh from the oven.
Two scrambled eggs, swiss cheese melted inside.
Peanut butter, organic, creamy, and smooth.
All of these were wrapped in two slices of whole wheat bread, homemade and warm.
Truly, my friends, I have discovered the legendary Excalibur.
