Ok, so my friend has a birthday party in three weeks and she is really really geeky, and wants everyone to dress up as computer game characters. She's going as one of the cousins from Katamari. I have no idea what to go as!

The best I've come up with is going as Duke Nukem

as that just requires a red vest and somehow constructing a grenade belt.

Has anyone here dressed up as any computer game characters? I need some ideas, preferably very easy to do, but also looking cool (as some of the other people are putting a vast amount of effort into this!)

Could do Kyle katarn. Just need a white shirt, black pants, a brown fanny-pack, a five o'clock shadow, and a saber hilt.

not so much a red vest but its a red tank/'wifebeater'

just look in a hunting store for the ammobelt

Commander Keen? Brilliant. Damn shame that I never thought of that.

Personally, I have not yet dressed as a video game character, but this year will be the first. Mostly finished assembling the thing too, finally. I'll be going as a City 17 resistance member. With any luck, there'll be a guy in an HEV suit prowling around somewhere.

I'll also be taking along a small pad of paper so I can start writing letters to Doctor Breen in case anyone shouts "FROHMAN!" at me. Should be a good time.

Conker from Conker's Bad Fur Day didn't have any pants and a blue sweater ;)

If you can get them in time, why not grab a Storm Trooper outfit? Or how about a Master Chief suit :P

Where do I get ammobelts like that?

Or rather, how could I make one that looks similar?

I've only seen ammo belts that are actually like belts, going around the waist. Are the belts that go around the shoulder called something else?
