ATI X800 Pro
ATX case

There is a 6-channel sound card integrated on the mobo. It has a grand total of 8 USB 2.0 ports and 2 firewire ports. Haven't decided on a screen yet (but I'm definitely going for LCD).

Actually, if you had an extra 100$ to throw around, you might want to consider the X800 XT Platinum Edition. The Pro is crippled by its 12 pipelines vs the similar Nvidia 6800 GT's 16 pipelines. The pro is a good card, but if you have the extra 100$, the PE would probably be a better investment in the long run.

I'm pretty sure I will stay with the X800.

As for a screen, I'm going for a 19" LCD. I'm just debating between Samsung or NEC. They are both the same price, so is there anything that would make one better than the other? (For example, I was looking at 17" ones, and for one of them it said that a lot of ghosting is visible, but usually only if you are scrolling on a website that has a lot of green. Which of course I will be doing quite a bit.)

Also, the original specs included the AMD 3200. I want to upgrade to the 3400, but is it worth the extra $120(canadian)?

So you're just being a fanboy? The X800 Pro is crap compared to the 6800GT. It performs better on EVERY game for the SAME price.

That's the XT. Not the Pro. And now, the GF 6800 outperforms the X800 on FarCry and Doom, thanks to OpenGL and Shader Model 3.0
