I work midnights, dude. I got home around 8am. In everybody else's world, this would be 10:50 PM.

I discovered that our grill cooks unevenly..a small portion of my steaks ended up way too cooked. .(

I love cognac. It tastes like an anaesthetic and since anaesthetics were my favorite part of being in the hospital, I love cognac. In the hospital.

Maybe they were really really big glasses.
2008-10-27, 10:12 AM #12
Depending on the wine and what I've eaten, I can easily feel a little toasty after two glasses. For some reason wine affects me a lot more than other alcohol.

What SC said.

And that is why I don't often drink wine - It usually ends in me being an idiot.

A couple of beers is enough to get me sloshed right now because I haven't been drinking much since the beginning of summer.

Friday I didn't much to eat at all, started drinking bourbon at 2am and it didn't take much to get me where I wanted to be.

lol captain morgan

I used to be somewhat of a heavyweight (a good 12-15 drinks to be "drunk"), now it takes me about half that. A combination of: not drinking as often, drinking beer that is 10% ABV, being on Effexor. :awesome:

Nope..but it's not unusual for me to go weeks without any alcohol, so I'm sure that has something to do with it.

Being a lightweight rules. I always laugh at the people that make fun of others for not being able to drink their liver into oblivion. I'm not the one that just dumped 100 bucks on drinks for the night.. My wallet's still full and I'm just as hammered as you. :)

I've developed more of a alcohol tolerance then I really want. Ugh, and I'm going to end up s*** faced at a halloween party too.

Two glasses? Try a half of a glass. And I'm not even a halfling.

Beat that, you punks.

Yea, JLee, I think most New England chicks can outdrink the rest out the US guys. Outside of Massachusetts there isn't a whole lot to do but drink :)

Old Port used to be in the highest (per capita) bars per square foot too... or something like that. Maine is right up there with crazy women.

I consider the fact that I am significantly tipsy after 24 ounces of light beer to be an impressive feat of lightweight-ness, but I don't know how that compares to half a glass of wine.
2008-10-28, 12:01 PM #34
i can do about 2 1/2 beers 1 mediumish glass of wine or a almost two shots of hard liquor then im buzzed.

Over the last year or so I've noticed an odd discrepancy between my tolerance for beer and my tolerance for liquor. I start feeling buzzed more quickly with beer. It makes me wonder if I might have a slight gluten allergy or something of the sort, which would be a damn shame because I really like beer.

I was once told by a waitress, when she brought me room-service breakfast the next morning, "Are you okay? How did you walk up here? I served you an entire bottle!"

She did not understand how I could be so bright eyed, cheery, and hangover-free.

NH is second nationwide in beer consumption, blowing Kansas out of the water.

If I had only known that my manliness was directly related to the quantity of alcohol I could consume..

Maybe kansas, but not Hays. There are more liquor stores there than gas stations--I'd say about 2-3x as many. Ask stormtrooper, it's insane how much people drink there.

I used to be up to drinkin a liter of liquor, then a 20 rack of beer. Some kids I know would down a half gallon then a 30 pack.
