Well if you're using firefox, you can triple-click it, right click it, then click copy, then click the address bar, then right click again and click paste, then middle-click the go button.. that's what I did.

I guess if you wanted to be a real pain about it you could do it that way.

I prefer to triple click it, and just drag it to the tab bar.

holy crap... never knew you could do that! Though I usually prefer f6 -> ctrl+v, but, you know, sometimes I'm sitting in my chair really funny and it's a pain to reach the keyboard.

Yep, click and drag FTW. Almost everything in Firefox can be middle click and click and dragged.

Triple clicking selects the entire phrase/sentence/line i.e. the link.
