Dentists recommend a new one every 3 months or so, so unless you're a mongol or British I wouldn't bother picking up a new one every month.

The average toothbrush lasts for years; dentists are being paid off by BIG TOOTHBRUSH to recommend that people replace them more often and create more profits for the companies.
