I am not sure if anyone here knows about this. One of my friends showed it to me today, since a lot of our games are EA branded.
Basically, there's a new forum rule going into place over at EA forums, that if you're caught breaking any forum rules you are immediately banned from not only the forums but every single EA game you purchased. Since everything is tied into the master account that you use to sign into the EA website/forums.
Not that I post on the forums or that many people here do at all, but EA's customer support is absolutely PATHETIC. I'm STILL waiting for the reply to my issue 2 months after I put the ticket in, and after about 5 different e-mails so far from the tech rep he has given me the exact same instructions each time. Even after I tell him what he just told me to do didn't resolve the issue.
I think this is more an issue to get rid of hackers than anything. I mean, look at WOW's forums.. It's filled with trolls that post on their alts all the time, without anything being done. I don't know how many "Nerf Rogue's" thread's I've seen in the last.. oh 2 years now?... Even doing stuff in game doesn't get you this kind of punishment. If you are caught hacking I totally agree with this decision, but only in that case.
