Fighter or Attacker or Multirole.

Well we have all seen military combat aircraft and most have probly played Ace Combat.

Heres the question, whats your favorite.

Fighter: F-14D Super Tomcat.
Attacker: F-4E Wild Weasel (yes this is considered an attacker due to the nature of "Wild Weasel" missions :P
Multirole: F/A-18E Super Hornet.

Fun fact, the VF-84 Jolly Rogers flew the F-4 and F-14, and the VF-103/VFA-103 Jolly Rogers flew the F-14 and F/A-18 respectivly.

What's an Attacker? Is that the same as a Bomber?

Well in a real flight sim like Jane's used to make, or something like Lock On, I always liked multirole fighters. Of course it depends on the mission.

I used the F-15 S (or whatever the blue F-15 with thrust vectoring was called) a lot in the Ace Combat games.. Until I get the super planes that don't exist.

I have no idea about the game, but the F-22 is pretty sweet machine.

I liked the multiplayer ones where you were on a team for a bombing run.

I'd pick the fastest plane with the most amount of bombs, then I'd break formation and fly above my team mates and try and drop my bombs on them.

Air sim nuts are THE BEST PEOPLE TO **** WITH by far. They take it so amazingly seriously.

Adding insult to Injury, I'd also tell them I was using a gamepad instead of a $5000 joy stick, digital gauge, three monitor set up.

I think they fixed this in IL-Sturmovik, you couldn't drop bombs on other planes they went straight through. But you could still knock wing tips and screw someone up.

I think I really prefer just straight dog fighting, no real mission deal going on. That is the most fun, WWII era I love the Thunderbolt. Fast enough, not too maneuverable but they're like practically indestructible.

But I'd even get kicked from those servers. Because I'm not in a real plane, and I'm not a real pilot, I flew kind of crazy and way how you're not supposed to almost to the point of simulated black and red out, sometimes passed. This is apparently also something that burns the flight sim nerds cheese, or spills their hydraulic fluid. Something like that.

I remember in BF1942 how some people in planes tried often to hit people on the ground with the front of their craft. The best things I ever saw in online gaming.

I sniped a Zero pilot in that game once.

I was just popping him, not really trying.. I still got kicked for haxoring though.

Yeah, ramming jeeps and **** on the ground. Those people are *******s. I usually played Desert Combat, and I don't recall it being much of a problem there.

the thing is some of the best combat pilots of the day pushed themselves and their planes to and sometimes passed the limits

but flight sim nerds don't realize that and get pissed when someone does it in an online game

some will claim that you are taking advantage of some non-existent glitch in the flight model when you pull some maneuver that the plane you are using CAN do and HAS done in combat according to accounts of actual veteran pilots who saw it happen... but they are sim nerds and sim nerds can't stand to be outflown

Like an inverted loop into someones belly that has been chasing you and shooting them down KERPOW.

I also like going after people that eject. Especially if I can hit them with my airplane.
