Add a Xbox 360 next to the cable box. I didn't feel like taking a new picture, and that is the only thing that has changed.

They're leaves and branches with birds sitting on them. This is the fourth house I've lived in and by some odd coincidence they're exactly the same as the curtains in the house I grew up in.

Glocks suck. A hammer is better than striker-fired any day.

Stupid police and their stupid Glocks. Is that a G17?

Bonus points for the Kershaw knife, though. (it looks like a Kershaw, anyway)

G36. I carry a 21SF at work..it's nice having the same overall feel and same trigger pull for my offduty gun. I have a 1911 as well, if that redeems me at all.

Yes, it's a Kershaw.
woot!

Wow, I didn't even notice that. You keep a gun on your desk?

I thought police were all gun safe and kept them in safes.
I suppose that doesn't do you any good if you need it though.. "OH **** what's the code again? Some foo is breaking in my house!"

1911's nice, but low round capacity. How's your take on the XD40?

Dormouse, I need a computer desk exactly like yours. Where did you purchase? Or where could I find one online (I suck at online shopping)?

Yeah hammers are great.

Except when they're not. Glocks are the **** for what they are. And what they are is a duty weapon.

I don't know where my camera is. Meh. I don't have a desk now anyway.

That's where I put it when I took it off- note the keys and stuff sitting there also.

There is nothing wrong with my curtains. I can't see how anyone could possible make a distinction between them being girly or masculine, or why it would even matter. I happen to like how they look. I'm not going to buy new curtains because a homophobic self-hater (you) made a comment on a forum.

(you should see the curtains in my bedroom, they're pink with flowers.)

I see nothing wrong with your curtains. They have a certain japanese-painting feel to them.

Springfield XD's are decent. I shot their .45 model, and it was mediocre. The pros are that it's inexpensive, simple, light and small. The disadvantages are that it's somewhat inaccurate, striker-fire (lame), and just has an overall "cheap feel" to it. It is extremely similar to the S&W "M and P" series (which I also tried, and reached the same conclusions).

Overall, if one can afford such, a SIG P220, Para or Wilson 1911 (Para is reasonably priced, Wilson is quite expensive), or HK USP would be a better .45 caliber firearm.

What's your issue with striker-fired weapons? Mine work beautifully, and I prefer the consistent trigger pull over the DA/SA pull you'll find in most Sigs, or the DAO pull (too long), or the SAO (1911)..

One handed re-cocking (for a "second chance" shot), obvious display of cocked or uncocked status, more inertia to the firing pin, easy decocking, and I just like being able to see everything. That's also why I don't like Nip motorcycles with the big plastic fairings on them.

Unless it's SAO, whether it's cocked or not has no bearing on whether or not it'll fire. As for one-handed recocking...if the round doesn't fire the first time, it's getting ejected for a new one! :)

I have a naked bike, so maybe I'll recover some points. :P
