I'm looking to buy an AK or AK variant rifle. I'm looking to spend no more than $600, but don't hesitate to recommend things a little more expensive if the price is worth it. Also, I'm not limited to just AKs. I'm looking for a 7.62mm rifle in general, but an AK will probably fit my budget more readily, I think. From what research I've done, I've come to these conclusions(feel free to correct me)

- The Arsenal SA-M7 is the best AK/AK variant out there but is unbelievably expensive(the carbine version is supposed to be nearly as good, but I can't find a price for one anywhere).

- Anything from Romania is crap.

- The egyptian and chinese variants seem to be popular, I'm not sure how they compare to each other though.

- I want a milled receiver.

- AK manufacture has come along to where AKs don't necessarily have as much of an accuracy gap compared to the M16/M4.

- To go with the previous point, I'm putting a premium on accuracy. The more accurate, the better.

Jim Fuller is the only person you want to go to for an AK variant. Just trust me on this.

Check out a Saiga. They come in 7.62 and a bunch of other calibers, they're pretty cheap, and it's a more accurate AK74 designed for sporting.

You can even ghetto rig it back into an AK
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.
