How do I stop this? (speakers)

My speakers are picking up some radio station.
Normally, you can barely hear it. But it's been getting louder. It plays at the same volume regardless of what the speakers on on.
I am watching Terminator streaming and I have this crappy arse music in the background. ><

Buy some ferrite cores and run the wire through them a few times.

I assume you have some kind of PC speakers, right? They usually have the amp integrated in the sub or one of the speakers. The problem is that the signal cable leading to that amplifier is poorly shielded, if at all. Ferrite cores might help but you what you probably need is a fully shielded cable. If the cable is replaceable, you could try getting a shielded signal cable from MonoPrice or a similar place. If not, prepare to do some soldering or buy some new speakers.

It's important to note that I'm talking about the signal wires going to the amp from the PC, not from the amp to the speakers. The wires going from the amp to the speakers are always unshielded and they don't need to be.

For some reason I thought this was going to be a thread about how ATT/Cingular phones make speakers make odd noises from time to time.
