Moving time!

I'm moving from Nebraska back to New York in a few weeks, and I need to figure out how I'm shipping stuff back (I'm taking a train out). Does anyone have any suggestions as to the most cost efficient way for me to do this? I'll be shipping mostly books, my computer, my saxophone (might just take that on train), and a box of odds and ends. I probably have about 3 1.5'x2'x1.5' boxes full of books, if that helps. It'll probably be 6 or maybe 7 boxes of about that size.

I'm sure driving myself would be cheapest, except I don't have a car, I'd be driving alone across the country in unknown winter weather conditions, and I already have my train ticket :)

You should be able to hire a van in one city and end in another if the company has depots in both cities. Otherwise you'll probably have to hire someone else to do it (they'd probably use a cargo train).
