"In that regard, it will have a little better quality."

Well... there ya go.

I wonder if fox's canceling fetish would ever come full circle with them canceling themselves.

These are hopefully not infomercials," said Fox Networks Group chairman Tony Vinciquerra. "These will be longform programs that highlights their product."

So, like infomercials then?

only thing i like on fox is 24. (and they'll probably end up canceling that as well...)

why dont they "try to navigate" with more cartoons, instead of losing their entire cartoon viewer base once the infomercials begin?:carl: :psyduck: :suicide:

Saturday morning cartoons haven't been good for like 20 years anyway.
2008-11-24, 11:07 AM #11
Saturday morning cartoons have sucked since Ren and Stimpy was taken off the air.

I don't care what happens.

The point of saturday morning cartoons is to appeal to the children and wash their little brains.
They don't care if the old people think 'cartoons were better in my day' =p

I would have been pissed if this happened while I was a kid.

I thought Nickelodeon took Saturday morning away from the major networks years ago?

Oh really? Hmm. I remember seeing the trailer for that. They really had a couple bad chooses for voice actors. Like even Haro! WTF?

That sucks, but cartoons these days are pretty crap anyhow. I remember growing up watching eak! the cat. Now all kids have are shows like battle card masters or crap like that. :suicide:
Take that there and put it in here

There's always WB. Maybe they'll take some FOX's canceled shows. By the way, there do seem to be too many Japanese anime shows now days. Ben Ten seems to be the only decent American animated show that's actually serious.

Given that I heard it's going in the death slot come February, I wouldn't be too optimistic there.

What is the death slot?

It is, presumably.. death

The "death slot" is the timeslot that has killed many other Fox programs, for instance: Firefly.

It's been year since I've watched Saturday morning cartoons, but I think it might be blasphemy to remove them.

Fox Cartoons always sucked. They always had "digimon" while WB had Pokemon. They were always cheap knock offs or horrible licensed cartoons like the sonic cartoons. GOOD RIDDANCE I SAYS

I'll go ahead and say that even bad cartoons are better than infomercials.

I'll admit that the absolutely fake display of enthusiasm of almost all the actors in infomercials is actually hilarious.
