that my JVC CRT TV which I bought in 2003 for 999 euros is actually an HDTV capable of displaying 1080i (unscaled, it's no 1080p, but...) via its component input! This is good news because I have an Xbox 360, so now I'm off to buy a 360 component cable. O_o
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Uh, the 360 comes with a component cable...

I had to get a hard drive(which came with a live gold subscription), a headset and now this cable separately, other than that I don't see why it wasn't a good idea, as it was a trade in (ps2+5 games + 40 euros)). It's the same console, has an HDMI port like the other versions.

Because for $60 more (20GB edition) you could get the whole set together as one anyway, and gotten a wireless controller :/
2008-11-26, 7:58 AM #8
Do they still make 20GB versions?

And the Arcade comes with a wireless controller.

nope.

Excuse me, but what would be the point in an HDTV that's not 16:9? No, it's not 4:3. Also, I have now tried it, and games look awesome! :D

HD broadcasting in the UK didn't start until mid 2006, I imagine Finland wouldn't have started until about then either.
nope.

Oh, ok.

When I bought the TV, I checked all kinds of reviews and user opinions online before making my decision. I did notice something about HD stuff relating to the TV, but there were no high def sources here back then that I know of, so I just forgot about it.

Also, how the hell do you put a video (playing it off a usb stick) on repeat on the Xbox 360 video player? I haven't upgraded to the new Xbox experience dashboard.

No one seems to know whether it can be done or not, despite millions of people owning a 360. Weird!
