I remember that one time Commander_598 mentioned this in chat, and I was like "terrirst pakistan lol"

I'd like to know their motive.

The article said they targetted high finance. Can't really blame them.

They targeted foreigners.

Then why did they blow up a gas pump and a train station?

In the hotel, the witnesses are saying that they were asking for peoples passports and taking hostages selectively. I'm not saying they only targeted foreigners, but it sure looks like it had something to do with it.

Wow, it must take effort to mispell Indiana...
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

At least India can keep their religious extremists somewhat under control, but unfortunately for the capitalists (and fortunately for the Marxists), the same can't be said about the Maoists :)

Its kind of sad that Plaxico Dumbass is getting more attention because he shot himself by accident in a night club.

and by kind of sad I mean its really sad.

really guys? 10 posts?

2 threads about cops being pigs? both at least 2 pages long?
Lets take a second to compare:
Cops Protocol (car search reveals a weed pipe) 126 posts.
Kid with Knives gets shot | 69 posts.

Thread about terrorist attacks in Mumbai which left at least 178 people dead and there are only 10 posts? good job guys

I have to say, I'm pretty shocked that the Mumbai attacks got almost no attention around here. It's a pretty big ****ing deal
Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea

So by this logic our forums ought to be clogged with post after post about people who died from heart disease and car accidents. Sorry, not every event is interesting to talk about. Terrorism is a puny drop in the bucket compared to every other cause of death.

Freelancer... how the hell did you come to that conclusion?

I think what is trying to be expressed here, is the indifference many of us are showing to this event, but not to events such as crack pipe whining, and evil kids being shot.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Other than "That really sucks. Lots of people died" there isn't exactly a whole lot of discussion involved here.

Funny.. I experienced a similar thing.
I was away for the weekend visiting relatives. I turned on the TV. I'm like "HOLY CRAP" and everyone else was just kind of like "Yea so what.. see if anything good is on"
I was like

My point was really that people are giving relatively small incidents (cops conduct thread) a crapload of attention. given this situation, yes there is a lot to discuss. But whatever :P

I agree with you completely.

I guess we are all desensitized to it all.

The reason the other threads got more attention is because they relate directly to members and there was controversy. There is not really any controversy over the attacks. If people suggested that they were a good thing or something you can bet that there would be a very long thread. As it is there is a lot of info to read, but not a whole lot to discuss.

I'm a little surprised that this wasn't posted earlier. Isn't this old news by now? I guess most Massassins tend to discuss to read about news elsewhere.

the thread was started back in November.

Political implications? Wherefore and why? (redundant I know) I think people are less shocked because people associate India with all of the Middle Eastern nonsense because it's right next to it.

Yea I just bumped it because I find it really sad that nobody is talking about it. There also were a few instances during this incident that I'm honestly surprised you guys didn't dive into. For example the ties to Pakistan, claims that other governments knew about the attacks before it happened, the terrorists that took ambulances and used them for drive bys.

Fine whatever, you have no personal ties to this... but you can't really deny that the media coverage of this sucked a lot.

Meh. I heard NPR cover this on the way to school every day. There didn't seem to be much mystery. Beyond the fact that it happens, it don't see much use into delving into it. It's not particularly relevant.
