Oh emm gee.

I forgot just how much plain simple fun Street Fighter 2 is. I've had some teething problems playing online:

I've had one match where the connection just fell apart and one where lag probably made me lose out of about 10 games so far. It's also a bit of a pain getting in to games at the moment; the lobby system's a bit wobbly. Oh, and it's not updating wins and losses, so I'm still on 0 wins, 0 losses.

All those little things aside, I'm having IMMENSE fun. Also, there are a LOT of Ken players (I'm usually one of them in fact), but I've been playing with Guile and Vega tonight with good results. Oh, and I'm not a big player of online games with randoms, but this is ACES.

It must suck playing this with the 360 controller's dpad...

it does, but you know what - it's SO MUCH FUN it doesn't matter. I do need to find a new input method though.

I'm going to buy that right after I install in a new hard drive for my PS3.

I sucked balls at the original SF II Turbo even tho I loved it <_< 3rd strike all the way for me

Has anyone played IV? I'm waiting for it to come out on PC.

It's not out for home consoles in the U.S. (I don't know the release date for the rest of the world) until February something....to coincide with the new live action movie's release date.

It's in select arcades in the US though.

After checking out some of the actors in the new movie, I have some decent hopes. Better than the first one. And I can't wait for my wife to give me my wireless router so I could download SFII.

I don't! When I was in junior high school I tried to submit a remix and it got rejected and I was butt hurt

But this guy Shael Riley who was in charge of putting that song together is apparently a big name on OCR, and knew the guy who was sending the final songs to the Xbox guys.

Rockcellent! I love most of the new versions - the only one I particularly dislike is Bison's theme. I friggin' LOVE the new music on the title screen.

My win record is STILL 0 and 0. Ok, so that is almost certainly flattering (I played drunk on saturday night and lost about 10 in a row), but it's still annoying.

I played the demo (you can only choose ryu or ken). It looks pretty much the same as old sf2 on my crappy tv, but it's still fun. I'm not a big fan of the xbox 360 d-pad (the non-analog one), the old snes ones are better (with just a cross, no explicit "diagonal" which I hit on accident on controllers like the xbox 360 one). I'll probably buy it because all my friends/family are geezers like me and we used to play it when we were in middle/high school.

Considering I bought SSF2 on my mega drive for £50 circa 1991 I think 8 quid for this version is pretty reasonable!

That said I will be dropping some cash on either a madcatz controller or a Hori fighting stick after christmas...
