How rude! It's out in the US and Japan, but all we get in the PAL region is "Early 2009".

What a steaming pile of turdy poo poo.

:colbert:

Have any of you beauties been out and got it yet?

I had it as a ROM file for years if that's what you mean. :v:

This is why God made DS games region free.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Such a good game; it's one of the only JRPGs I've ever beaten. What have they done to make the DS version different/better?

By the way. OC ReMix's Chrono Symphonic is glorious.

I had the SNES rom long ago, and have been trying to buy a complete set of the SNES version for years. I bought FF Chronicles for PSX when it came out, still have it and LOVED the animations they added. I haven't heard of any new content for the DS, but I am sure it will end up in my collection sometime.

I picked it up on release day.

As for extra content, there are two new dungeons apparently (haven't gotten to either yet), a new monster arena thing where you can train a monster and then fight it against other monsters to win items I suppose (I didn't do it much because it's not very fun). They also apparently added one more ending in. There's also an extras menu with stuff like a cutscene view, bestiary, etc.

As for actual gameplay changes, there are two control setups. One is essentially the original control setup, plus you can view extra stuff on the bottom screen like monster health bars and such. Then there's a DS control scheme that basically puts all of the menus on the bottom screen and leaves the top screen clean to show only characters and the environment. They also are using a new translation for this version.

I think that's most everything.

Most of the extra content sounds like the same things that was added in FFC, except the monster training thing? Not sure about the new dungeons. They added like 8 endings to that one though, some of them I still don't know how to get.

I would get it except I still haven't beaten the original and am currently halfway thru FF4, 6, and 7 simultaneously :x

I played a gba remake of dragon warrior 3 and it sucked because they replaced all the cool old-english text with kid-friendly happy-crap.

The dungeons are new I'm pretty sure, and there's one ending that's completely new. It also has everything included in the PS1 version supposedly.

It also has a neat treasure map that you can use to look at areas and it shows you where chests are and what is in them. Did the PS1 version have that (it's been ages since I played it so I have no idea)?
