They probably saved a bit of money in casting Ron Perlman, it's not like they had to add anything to his face aside from red paint and those horns, the rest are his natural features.

When I first saw that trailer, I remember thinking that everything looked cool in that movie except Hellboy. He looks like he's carved out of plastic. Goofy looking plastic, even.

Well it is based off a comic, and in the comic I think they fight Nazi people.

Pretty interesting, if anything it's more like Special Unit 2 (UPN show that was canceled awhile ago) meets LXG. But it looks alot better than LXG, at least for a "that was freakin funky!" movie.
