I'm curious about the criteria Thrawn's using.

Is it a contimuum like

More or less. I tried to go for the cheap cliffhanger ones, not so much the ones that were undescriptive yet somewhat amusing (e.g. "a chart")

I think I have a pretty good history of decent thread titles. Some of my favourites from over the years:

"A most devious and diabolical science project: kyle90 distills capsaicin"
"I caught a _______ today" (wild-animal themed threads)
and obviously the famous "I think an old lady down my street is trying to set me up with her granddaughter"

It's good to have a descriptive title.

Have'nt acutlly notice how bad those thread titles were, I guess I've probably created badly titled thread. Of course I create the topic starting post and I have to work out what to call it... But well there you go.

Kind of surprised I'm not on there, but I usually try to be as descriptive as possible without making the title too long.

I hate titles that aren't descriptive, especially if it's actually a good thread and I miss it because of the title. These days I don't have time to read everything that gets posted.
