Well, after the fiasco that was the Michigan-Nebraska shared national championship, with at least one of the voters dropping Michigan to third or worse in order to ensure Nebraska's position, I can understand wanting to have some objective element in the decision. But when the computers don't work, that argument kind of goes out the window. The computer average had Oklahoma as the #1 team in the country. Yes, the computers put Oklahoma ahead of Alabama, an undefeated team in a conference that's usually college football's toughest. That's a ****ing joke. And who pays the price for it? Texas, the team that beat both of the teams playing in this year's Big 12 championship game.
It's a disgrace, and if Oklahoma beats Mizzou this weekend (practically a given), as far as I'm concerned some other bowl will be the real national championship.
