I wrote a game in 4 hours.

This weekend was a LudumDare, a 48 hour gaming competition. Unfortunately for me, I had to work, deal with my girlfriend, fight off a google hijack virus, and storyboard for Geb. So I spent about 4 hours total on my entry.

What I really want to know is if the level 1124 is solvable. Just stick that into the custom level box.

Yeah. I expect you to get that error message, microsoft hasn't pushed the 2008 runtime through windows update because they are idiots.

I have a woeful download limit and don't have auto=update on because it has been known to screw me royally.

I would just like to point out that he told me he wasn't storyboarding until Monday, so no blaming me! :P

Can you describe your game for us?

Left click and drag to move hexes. Right click to rotate."

From the readme. Sounds crazy.

probably requires .NET 3.5, or 2.0 depending on how it was built
2008-12-07, 3:07 PM #15
No it doesn't.
2008-12-07, 3:26 PM #16
No, it just needs the VC runtimes. It works for me, probably because I have VS2008 installed. :XD:

Also the game itself is pretty boring. And it looks like a bad Java applet.

2008-12-07, 4:11 PM #18

Solved 1124 first go. 'Twas easy.
2008-12-07, 9:41 PM #25
Hey that's pretty fun!

Also, is that 1124 thing sarcasm? The level was almost completely solved already from the start...

Yeah, I don't get it. 1124 seemed very easy. 11124 on the other hand...

Edit: actually, that wasn't so bad, either.

The first level is impossible.

You know, the one where you install it?

I got stuck on that one too. The support is really lame too, I was told to install some random MS crap but it didn't fix it and they didn't have anymore solutions :(

Hey JM, how does it feel to deal with all the BS game designers and companies deal with on a daily basis? You should hire someone to run tech support lines. :XD:
