(21:03:05) gbk: Just not figured that out?
(21:03:08) gbk: err
(21:03:11) gbk: "now"
(21:03:12) CoolMatty: "hey lets push out an update that causes the apache updater to not configure PHP
(21:03:35) Emon: haha
(21:03:40) Emon: I've never used it
(21:03:41) CoolMatty: it's so totally awesome
(21:03:44) Emon: I used Plesk which seemed pretty nice
(21:03:50) CoolMatty: plesk is worse
(21:03:53) CoolMatty: srsly
(21:03:55) Emon: really haha
(21:03:59) CoolMatty: cpanel is the best, and that's not saying much
(21:04:00) Emon: I used it a little
(21:04:09) CoolMatty: helm is the worst
(21:04:11) CoolMatty: plesk is second
(21:04:19) Emon: plesk supports IIS, which we used at work
(21:04:38) CoolMatty: webmin is "lol here's **** you can do in console anyway"
(21:04:44) Emon: hahaha yeah
(21:04:54) CoolMatty: "... and probably easier."
(21:04:59) CoolMatty: "... and will work the first time."
(21:06:37) gbk: Yes, but you are forgetting that "normal people" (otherwise known as people who go outside more than once a year) do not know what a console is, much less how to use one.
(21:06:52) CoolMatty: here's the contents of the php.conf include for apache's httpd.conf, courtesy of the latest CPANEL version's "Apache Update" system
(21:06:59) CoolMatty: # This file was automatically generated by the Cpanel PHP Configuration system
(21:06:59) CoolMatty: # If you wish to change the way PHP is being handled by Apache on your system,
(21:06:59) CoolMatty: # use the /usr/local/cpanel/bin/rebuild_phpconf script or the WHM interface.
(21:06:59) CoolMatty: #
(21:06:59) CoolMatty: # Manual edits of this file will be lost when Apache is updated.
(21:06:59) CoolMatty: # End of autogenerated PHP configuration.
(21:07:20) CoolMatty: pretty nice configuration I've got there! thanks cpanel!
(21:07:37) CoolMatty: and best part is, if I fix it manually, it'll just break again! awesome!

The short story: cpanel sucks.

Ok, thanks for mentioning this. I was like WTF. I though Chrome was dying. I didn't make the connection it was only happening for Massassi.

I still can't get to the forums through Firefox. The link on the main page, and through the url just leads to some file download.

You need to clear your cache completely and restart the browser. It's your browser's fault, not the server.

It was the craziest thing ever. I click my massassi link and it opens a dialog for DownThemAll, one of my Firefox extensions, asking me how to save the file. Wth... No matter what I tried, it kept happening. So I disabled DTA, didn't work. Uninstalled, didn't work. Note that all my other bookmarks open just fine. It's just Massassi.

Now I get a normal WinXP dialog box asking me where to save the file. After having tried several things, I decide to click 'Open with', and choose Firefox as the default app. Now it starts saving weird-titled documents to my download folder while showing huge amounts of code in my browser. w.t.f., haha. To make matters worse, I can't find any way to undo that setting. I try Firefox options, Folder Options, extension types, addon options, nothing works.

Untill I click this ancient link to a very old thread and suddenly I'm back. Coincidence? Then I realize I'm staring at my own holiday logo. Apparently things have been updated. I click the main forum link, it's still working.

It was like a bad dream :suicide:
