I know there are a fair number of Massassians that play TF2, but if you havent tried it yet its a great game especially at the $9.99 price point.

I'm pretty much back to TF2 after my brief affair with Left 4 Dead. It's definately a great FPS with alot of life left.

It is. TF2 is well worth $10.

If you like fast paced die at least once a minute games then yeah, it's worth it. It's not my cup of tea though. Too much death and far too fast paced.

I've been playing for about an hour, and I must say I'm fairly impressed. Valve has managed to really level the playing field it seems, both between the various classes and with players of different skill levels. The game mechanics have gotten rid of the sniper stalemates present in Team Fortress Classic, and you don't have to worry about some kid who's been playing the game non-stop for months getting a head shot on you from halfway across the map when you're just starting out either.

TF2 is pretty wicked.

Ok I take that back.. 2fort is still a haven for camping snipers. At least there's cover over the bridge in the TF2 version.

I loved sniping on 2Fort. It made me feel like I was better than everyone, because it's basically free kills with little threat.
Other than 2Fort, medics rocked. Which makes me weary about TF2 because I hear they are a lot different.


Ok for 10 bucks it's not that big of a deal (I don't really plan on playing it that much)

But I recently re-installed Steam. Does this game take more or less power than CS:Source? Every few minutes for CS:Source my laptop will kick up the fan, and I loose power for about 20 seconds which means A LOT of lag (and death). I guess since there is no long respawn like CS it's no big deal, but just wondering if my laptop will run this fine before I buy it.

I honestly dislike playing 2fort in TF2. Feels like 90% of the time it turns into a "turtle-ing" fest when both sides are so content to stay and camp in their bases. I think the layout of the both sides favors too much for the home team, and I think another way to the flag's basement is needed or something.

I usually just avoid 2fort servers. It was more fun back in Team Fortress Classic.

It's slightly more cpu/graphics intensive than CS:S, so if you arent happy with how CS:S plays you probably wont enjoy TF2.

I dont know about CS:Source, but it does seem to be a bit more graphically intense than DoD:Source. Not a lot more intense, but a little bit.
