That was in the prevented alternate future where everyone had superpowers and presumably Ando could shoot lethal beams of energy from his hands instead of his amplification power.
I dunno if I liked this latest episode or not ... the whole premise of Sylar trying to make the heroes into "himself" was a good one but badly executed. And there were so many random cop-outs/last-minute resolutions, like the formula HAPPENING to wash over Mohinder and curing him, or Peter HAPPENING to grab the last vial of formula RIGHT when he needed it to get his powers back, Arthur's goons randomly dying, Claire bursting through bulletproof glass, and that nonsensical workaround for travelling back in time to get Hiro.
As a whole, though, I've actually liked Villians (though not as much as Genesis, obviously)
