Ever been to Cexx.org?

this site has great info that can be used to protect your privacy on the internet. (It goes beyond the obvious stuff like disabling 3rd party cookies, etc.)

For you free webpage users out there, it even tells you how to kill (or manipulate so as to make it less invasive) those annoying ad systems like the geocities ad square and several others.

This is stuff that everyone should know.

Taking care of ads on a web page isn't that difficult of a task. However, getting rid of them with the host not wanting you too is illegal...

I dont feel guilty when I pirate music, its still illegal (until I move to Canada). The piont was that you run the risk of getting in trouble.

Of course they are in it to make money. However, it seems common sense that if you sign up for something that seems too good to be true, you would actually READ the TOS.

Anyway, there are/were servers out there that did host sites for free. And never had ads. Ok, so maybe it didn't last too long. But still *cough*
