When I fisrt heard about Half-Life 2 way back nearly a year ago I was vaguely interested. Now it's become an absolute circus and there are games in development or just released that are far more worth my time for the present. Valve had really better pull something good out of it's *** with this or it'll go down in history as one of the biggest disappointments and hypes.

Who cares? It's not like anybody forces people to read the script and spoil the story.

Yes, it's been a turbulent year for Valve, but the CS Source beta is underway and preloading of Half-Life 2 material in the form of textures and sounds will begin shortly. It's all uphill from there.

I'm with the guy who says anyone who spoils it for themselves by actually reading it is idiot. just don't touch the leaked material and play the game the way it was meant to and you'll be fine... yes..

and anyways, nobody mentioned this:

I doubt it's a particulary amazing story anyway. There's no reason for this to push back the release.

Gabe's said the script leak isn't going to push back the release at all. No worries.
