Good timing. I just picked up a bottle of Koningshoeven Quadrupel a couple hours ago. Can't wait. :awesome:

I haven't had a drop since a week ago. :( I have this nasty cough that I'm trying to get rid of.

Hahah, not really though. I don't frown upon cheap beer, only poor cheap beer selections, and the reasons for drinking cheap beer. That is, Keystone is never a good cheap beer. I :carl: when people go "Ah, Bud, that's a quality beer!" and such.

Sierra Nevada pretty much strikes the perfect balance of quality and availability.

Tonight's new beers, courtesy of the Flying Saucer:
- Young's Oatmeal Stout (my dad's recommendation)
- Avery Czar Imperial Stout
- Orval Trappist Ale

I tried this tonight. I was hesitant because of the cherry (I don't like fruity beers, especially that vile cherry wheat Sam Adams produces), but it was more of a note of sour cherry at the end than an overwhelming blast of cherry syrup. It gave it a complexity beyond what is usually found in a strong ale. I enjoyed it very much.

[Annendum] I probably have shown my ignorance with this post, because I've never had a proper Belgian Kriek before. Lesson on prejudices, I guess.
