... Got a weird/REALLY STUPID question. Mods can delete afer I get my answer.

How do I find WMP?

So, trying to make movie in Windows Movie Maker. Problem with the codecs, blah, blah, blah. (It's not a problem with the codecs.) So I'm like "wtf I'll try playing this video in WMP."

I can't find it. "Ok, I don't have it." So, since I hate the lastest version, I downloaded 9 from oldversion.com. But .. I couldn't install it, because it tells me the lastest version is installed on my computer.

(And wow, a lot of things are underlined in red in this post so far)

I tried using "Search" but it did not come up with anything. It's not anywhere in my start menu where it would normally be.

How do I find it lol? I feel really stupid.

Ok, turns out, it is not truly "installed" because my copy of windows has yet to be verified.

I'm pretty sure when I was re-installing windows a few years ago I forgot the CD-Key is on the bottom of my laptop, so I used the cd key that was written on the burned cd. Which means, would it be bad if I "Verified" windows? Like my computer would lock up?

If it's a fake CD key then you're probably screwed :P

Just browse to the C:/Program Files/Windows Media Player/ folder and use it from there. If it's not there, then well..

Yea, fake. (But I downloaded SP2 wtf, I can download SP2 without problems, but can't use WMP?)
Well, I found a way to update my CD-Key without re-installing windows, but guess something is wrong with windows itself.
