Dr Who, why was this hidden

Just got season 1 of 2005 Dr Who. WHY WAS THIS AWESOMENESS HIDDEN FROM ME!!!

The girlfriend and I liked quantum leap and Red Dwarf (also good shows for those that have not seen them) and were looking for another series to watch. This seemed like a little bit of a combination of both. but so far better.

I recalled people from here mentioning it but I paid it no mind. We have gone through most of the season within 2 days.

Does this series get even better? worse?

I liked the first series/season, Christopher Eccleston was just fantastic[O}. Then they stopped airing it here because the ratings were ridiculously low and I never got around acquiring more.

Dunno if the Genki guy was the bee's knees or not. I guess someone here does.

Yeah, Eccleston was a great actor. 'tis a shame he left, but his replacement did a great job, too.

I really like the show's approach of "we could try to do things that are physically feasible, but, **** it, that's too much work - let's have fun!".

He only really had gay references in The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances. I don't remember him having that many in his other episodes

Yes, don't worry, Doctor Who just gets better and better. Tennant is maybe a teeny bit annoying when he starts, but he smooths out and becomes a fascinatingly bipolar Doctor with some amazing episodes (like 'Blink', and also that one on the shuttle with the thing that repeats everything, oh and the one with Kylie Minogue). It also completely revamped my opinion of Catherine Tate, I really didn't like the Catherine Tate Show but she was brilliant in Doctor Who.
