...themes!

There were many I liked, here's a few:

I think for what they were (daytime childrens cartoons) they had pretty good production value.

Honorable mentions:

Beast Wars
Darkwing Duck
Ducktales

His point was that the vast majority of internet users now use broadband, you don't need to say that anymore.

Depends on your definition of childhood or which period of my childhood... because I kind of watched totally different cartoons before 1995 when Cartoon Network (UK) started broadcasting here and I got fixated to very specific stuff in 1998-2000.

But in any case, instead of mentioning a lot of cartoons I have to mention classic Warner Bros cartoons because for some reason within my time on the Internet, I've never ever seen any American mention them in a positive OR negative context. It's like they faded out of popularity in America after the 1950s and became eternal classics in Europe only... oh well.

... that and I'm still fairly certain I started watching more cartoons as a teenager/young adult anyhow :|

I can think of only one favourite:

Just put the video code inbetween
2009-01-14, 2:00 PM #10
Hmm, that would probably be the Turtles intro.

Or the Ghostbusters theme. I was driving my parents crazy because I kept singing it all day long.
Sorry for the lousy German

Man, I forgot TMNT too!!! (I went to school with the nephew of it's creator, he got hooked up TMNT swag all the time)
What's wrong with the world today? Back then there were so many awesome cartoons, and now we got crap like Hanna Montana. I am told Dorah the Explorer is pretty cool, though. But everything else is garbage.

Squirrel King apparently doesn't know what the GOOD Sonic cartoon was. SatAM, the Sonic in the saturday morning cartoon, was much darker, and overall just straight up better.

That's why I have all of them on my computer. :D

fishstickz wins with his Rocko clip.

That is, if this were a competition.

Anyways, the best version of TMNT was the Japanese version!

I'm pretty sure we Americans have just so assumed the old Warner Bros. cartoons to be favorites that we don't bother mentioning them. They certainly haven't faded away in any case, though admittedly I'd be hard-pressed to figure out where they air anymore, except for maybe Boomerang.

Holy crap, this thread has been nostalgic for me. Ducktales/Darkwing!!!
I've forgotten so many childhood "Awesomness" things.
Those reminded me of Goofy, as well. Goofy was pretty cool.

I'm tempted to start buying DVDs of some of the shows posted in this tread....

Yep. Why is it that any and every Japanese cartoon character has the ability to transform into a giant robot?
