dvi switcher?

I have a regular desktop computer and a stupid mac which I have been using lately to do work for... work. Anyway, at home I have a 22" nice LCD monitor. I'd like to be able to hook the mac to it w/out having to disconnect it every time (the way the cable out port works really sucks, it's hard to get the cable in/out). I found this at monoprice but it doesn't support 1680x1050 which I need.

I couldn't find something like this (a simple dvi switch) that supports 1680x1050. I have found a bunch of really, really expensive things (like over $300 - I could get another monitor for cheaper than that).

Anyone know where I can find something like this?

That switch probably works at 1680x1050. It's just switching the digital signal, it shouldn't matter what resolution it is, as long as the switch can handle the bandwidth. If it can do 1600x1200 it can probably do 1680x1050.

Does your LCD have a VGA in as well as DVI? If so, you could just use the VGA adapter on the Mac and then switch inputs on the LCD.

dual link is only needed for really high resolutions... single link tops out at 2098x1311@60Hz (as far as widescreen resolutions go)

It sounds like a good idea, I'll try that. I have to wait for the mini-dvi to vga converter to come from monoprice now. Thanks for the suggestion.
