What version of RS had a multiplayer version with a snow based bunker version? That one was pretty cool, I played that one. There was a hotel/casino level too, and people would hide inside of plants, and that always fooled me.

I got Rainbow 6: Vegas 2 free with my video card. I never tried it multiplayer, single player looked good but it never really pulled me in. I played it for a few hours and then put it aside for a few months. But now that you got me thinking about it again, maybe ill give it another try.

Rainbow Six: Rouge Spear. One of my favorite PC games of all time, I remember I used to play it on the MSN Gaming Zone.

no rogue spear was the best... raven shield was the last good one

the problem with the rest was they dumbed it down for consoles when they released the console version of RS3 by removing the entire planning stage that one sold really well so they stuck with that formula... one single team and no planning stage

part of what i felt made rainbow six great was planning out a mission and having the AI teams moving on the path you set in the planning stage

No, I agree with Jim. Rogue Spear was easily the best. It was almost the same as Rainbow Six but more refined. Raven Shield was a little different, but still quite good.

A similar thing happened with Ghost Recon. Ghost Recon and its expansions were great, but after that it went downhill.

My brother has this. I kind of liked it but quit in frustration at the oil refinery level where they take away your squad.

I honestly never used the planning stage in any of the games. I liked Rogue Spear a lot, but there was something not quite right in how the engine was setup, mostly because the crosshairs centred too fast when you stopped moving or turning, and so it was a little too easy to run around like Rambo with a P90 or TMP. In fact it was that easy to shoot guys that sometimes I'd just take any old gun; SPAS, M14, SSG3000, FNC, LMG's. Kind of took away the element of creeping around.

ah, if rogue spear was a more refined rainbow six, then you guys must be right, at least on the single player component. i didn't play that one as much, as rainbow six had a bigger online following on the zone, and there was this ****ing awesome mod (pretty much req'd for online play since everyone had it) that included a lot of new maps, "dark" versions of existing maps, and a crapton of new weapons (which i guess was easy to add since no modeling of guns was necessary).

Are there any weapon addon mods for Vegas? I was looking the other day, but found absolutely nothing.
