Hooray!

It's been a long 18 months waiting for my Orange contract to run its course, but I now have a shiny new 16GB Black iPhone 3G.

So, now I've taken the plunge, a 32GB AWESOMEPHONE will clearly be released tomorrow to supersede it.

But YAY FOR ME!

/Hugz iPhone whilst it puts the 2.2 software on :D

Black 8GB 3G. Didn't see the point in the 16GB, as I have a 120GB classic.

This is now my prime ipod too, hence the 16GB. It would've been daft not to go the extra mile though - the price difference was tiny!

I has a white 16gb 3g. The only complaint I have is that I have to use i**** to sync music to it. The encryption is different on the 3g, and as far as I know, hasn't been cracked yet.

Yes and no. Mine gets desmudged every time I take it out of my pocket, but if you have it sitting on a desk and go back and forth between it, then it can get smudgy. The screen is bright enough that you don't really notice them though. When in direct sunlight the screen is great too.

AT&T is ****.
Verizon is ****...but their coverage is awesome.

Coverage is location dependent. I've been with Alltel, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. IMO, T-Mobile has the best service and coverage, AT&T improved coverage (where I live) when the iPhone 3G came out. Verizon is alright, and Alltel is abysmal.

I've used Sprint and T-Mobile. They both have equally good coverage in the Cleveland and Rochester areas, and in between.
