I hope you are reading this, because I want to make it absolutely clear: I will not give you any spare change. First, I did not (and usually do not) carry change around in my pocket. It's heavy, and it makes a noise when I walk. Second, even if I did have change, I would not give it to you. I work hard for my change. Too hard to hand it over to a smelly man on the sidewalk. Once I told you "no", you should have let it go. You should not have followed me for two blocks. You should not have kept asking. You should have left me alone.
