Hey folks, I recently downloaded Street Fighters 2 Turbo HD Remix. Its brought a tons of memories and I'm totally enjoying it, but I gotta say, the game's a ton harder than I can remember. I'm having a lot of trouble beating it on medium difficulty. It generally takes 2-3-4 tries per character.

I'm currently playing with Ryu because he's my favorite character.

Do some of you more experienced players have some tips for a returnee who's not played in well near a decade if not longer? Bring em on!

I'd ditch the shotos in favour of a charge character - the 360's controller is rubbish for dragon punches and fireballs. Honda's a good bet, or Guile. Oh and read everything at www.sirlin.net/sf

Oh and yay - we need to get some games in! :D

I haven't played a street fighter game since SF2T on SNES. I used to dominate with that one guy who looked like a military official. Too lazy to look up his name.

Well Guile doesn't look like a military official. He looks like a frontline soldier on steroids. :P

Also Jeppybuns, try the AI on easy rather than medium first, then start joining Player games on multiplayer: it's winner stays on and you can have 3, 4, 5, and 6 players in. Look for some 3 or 4 player rooms with good latency and just get some practice in. The folk are quite friendly!

That, and look at shoryuken.com for their wikis and forums :)

Bah I'm a shoto player in 3rd strike but I never really played any of the older II-generation style games so I probably wouldnt' be able to give any good advice :(

All I remember from my childhood was spam hadouken until they jump then shoryu, jump in while theyre getting up and jumping fierce kick to fierce low (sweep) and repeat for epic cheapness <_<

A good player won't jump into the DP in the first place ;)

That said, anything that wins you games is a valid tactic!

When we can get over our time difference problems, I'll give you some halp!

Actually, I'm not at work on Thursday, so I can play at this sort of time. I've got an interview for another job at 11am, and a dentist appointment at 4:30pm but somewhere in between we can have some larfs?
