Meh I've cleared all the content and I'm just totally completely utterly sick of it after 4 years. Plus with my novel underway I find I have less and less time for it, meaning the 15$ becomes less and less lucrative, when I could dump it on other bills.

If you don't mind me asking, how much time did you have logged?
I had a blog. It sucked.

I don't understand how people continue paying a monthly $15 subscription for 1 game for 4+ years. Explain to me this phenomenon.

Its definatly not everyone's cup of tea, but its an evolving world with new content added every months and many people to meet. 15$ a month is very little money even if you spend only one hour a day online. Its less than a daily coffee at your favorite coffee shop. Out here, 15$ is a price of a single movie in a theater with a big popcorn.

I've found the game very enjoyable until recently and I don't regret the time and money I've invested in the hobby. Overall, it was a very cheap hobby.

Its just my time to move on to other things.

And when you get bored and want to come back, you've lost nothing. Blizzard keeps your crap for you and you just start right where you left off.

Ah, we have the infamous anti-fanboy.
Which is not to be mistaken with someone who merely dislikes fanboys, no. It's someone who is just as mindless as a fanboy, only in the opposite direction.

He might just think that WoW doesn't have an evolving world and stuff, and that it's funny to think it does .(

Ah, we have the anti-anti-fanboy.
Which is not to be mistaken with someone who's opinion someone else would give a damn about, no. It's someone who's too retarded to except criticism over concepts one might enjoy. A man who enjoys a little bit of the Internet High Horsery, as it were? Might wear a fancy hat with a monocle just to sneer at the peons?

Or maybe just a douchebag with a keyboard
2009-01-31, 7:06 AM #23
No I'm not being fanboy in the slightest.
I find WoW extremely boring and repetitive.
But I can accept it has it's good points, and I'm not about to mindless laugh at the most well known thing about WoW.

Nice that everything you said applies directly to your own post though.

Learn to read.

I didn't say uou were a fanboy. I said you were an anti-anti-fanboy. Which would make you against anti-fanboys.

I then went on to mock the style of your post.

It's what I do, keep up damnit.
2009-01-31, 7:13 AM #25
I noted it all. But you missed the fundamental point that an antifanboy is still just a fanboy. Only in the opposite direction =p
The thing is I'm against fanboyism in either direction. People who refuse to accept the pros OR cons about a game because they are in love with it or in love with hating it.
My main problem with your post is that you described fanboyism basically, not my stance at all.

This (Really, "evolving world" is practically a straight lie but new content is technically true), plus it was half trolling. I didn't expect Deadman to climb onto a high horse and hurl himself right into it though.

Besides, high horses stuck. Any horse that needs a ladder to mount isn't worth the time, imo.
