Thoughts? Predictions? I haven't really been keeping up with the NFL so I can't say much. The only game I watched was the Eagles and Cardinal games and as I expected, the Eagles lost though I'm impressed they made it that far.

Anyhow, truth be told I'm watching the superbowl more so for some of the new trailers like G.I. Joe (just aired) and Transformers 2. Perhaps there will be a new Watchmen trailer too.

Wow, the end of the first half was absolutely nuts.

A couple of stingy Steelers fans won $400 in my dad's pool. Like these people do NOT buy rounds. Last year the SAME guy won three quarters.

Why do the *******s always win?
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Luck can only last so long. Seems like there's a momentum shift with the Cardinal right now. The college I go to seems to consist entirely of Steeler fans. In some ways, I want the Cardinals to win just to spite them.

Was that really a fumble? I thought it looked like a pass incompletion. Oh well, guess I have to endure the rabid Steeler fanboys celebrating their victory tomorrow at my campus instead of seeing them weeping.

Damn, great game.

It's a shame that Warner didn't have one chance to heave it down field at the end (did they review that call?). Fitzgerald is one of those people that if that play was called, there is a great chance that it could've been a TD, heh.

That end of the first half killed the Cards

I go to Penn State Erie. Yeah, it was definitely a good game. If I was more of a rabid Steelers or Cardinal fan, I would be on the edge of my seat the whole way through.

did you see the part where shaq got the interception for the cardinals in the last 5 seconds of the game and got a touchdown?

I cannot express in any language on earth how ****ing angry I am about the way this game ended. I was pissed when it looked like they hadn't bothered to review the Cards' last play, but it's even more infuriating now that I find out that they did actually review it and still managed to get it wrong. How the high holy **** do they rule that a fumble after slowing that play down to look at it?

I gave the Steelers the benefit of the doubt a couple of years ago when they beat the Seahawks on several extremely sketchy calls. Not again. I had an asterisk all saved up for the Patriots in the event that they won last year. The Steelers are getting that asterisk. Congratulations on your five Super Bowl championships, *****es.

Six. And I couldn't agree more. I was amazed at Arizona's comeback only to be pissed that they got boned by that bad call.

No. Five. I'm going to insist on this, because what we saw tonight was not a Super Bowl championship.

Oh boo ****ing hoo. Let's say it wasn't a fumble and the Cards get the ball with a few seconds left and no timeouts. Is that really going to change much? Plus it's ridiculous that you're that jaded because you disagreed with one friggin call.

The Cards with the ball, the best receiving corps the NFL has seen in several years (including a guy who routinely catches balls with two and even three guys all over him), a terrific quarterback, well within striking distance from the end zone, and they're denied the chance for a couple of shots at the win? Yeah, it just might change something.

I've insisted with reference to several other games that a team should never be placed in a position where they have to win in spite of the officiating. The Cards didn't even have it that good. They had no chance to win in spite of the officiating.

I'm fairly certain Mark Warner broke the yards-in-a-superbowl record.

It's true, the Cards are the only team that I'd give them a shooter's chance if they had 5 seconds and 50 yards to go. Fitzgerald is downright the biggest playmaker in the game

I wouldn't have written off the Panthers in that situation either. Steve Smith has the heart of a lion, and would've had a fighting chance at turning the worst of Jake Delhomme ducks into a game-winner. But that's beside the point -- no team should have that shot taken away from them. Hell, look at Buffalo in college football this year. Any team deserves that chance if they play their way into it, and you never know what's going to happen.

Great game, to me the non-call at the end of the game was fine. The ball was moving around as he was coming forward, thus according to NFl rules, a fumble.
