Yeah Tim Kring said that they're shooting to go back to the style of the first season because ratings have dropped a lot and they wanna pick up the people that stopped watching again.

I actually liked it a lot. I love Mondays now ... 8PM House and 9PM Heroes :D

I, too, was pleasantly surprised. Just when I was about to give up on Heroes...

Peter has a weakness for hugs.**

Im still thinking about not watching heroes anymore... too much tv to keep track of.

I got sick of all the storylines, crappy mechanics just to move the story around (lol timetravel for everyone!), crappy characters, crappy actors. Compared to this previous season, is it worth it to watch? Also, does Peter still act like Keanu Reeves doing action figure poses all the time?

this episode wasn't too shabby

they didn't beat around the bush for the capturing of all the powered people as i anticipated they would have. hopefully they'll have better episodes with more cliff hanger. some of the heroes possibly got killed off during this episode too.

and peter doesn't just pose in this whole episode. he takes on some action too.

Who was the Hero who got sucked out of the plane at the end while still being bound and drugged? We couldn't see his/her face cuz the bag was still over his/her head. Poor guy/girl.

Yeah, this series has gotten so ridiculous that I've stopped caring about it. The plot is about as loose as Free's_mom.

It was a lot better than most of the last season. Anyone have any idea what's up with Peter's powers? It seems like he's developed something similar to Arthur's, or he's having to live with the temporary thing like he did originally.

Hm
I gave it a chance. The dialogue didnt suck, freezy triplet girl didnt talk too much, Mohinder actually was kind of bad ***.
They definitely need to do more to redeem the series though

I watched the episode on Hulu last night, (giving Heroes an umpteenth chance.) Either its from not seeing the show for a while, or that is actually was a good episode, but I enjoyed it.

I feel that they needed to man up all the characters. Last season they were all such ****ing sissies in getting stuff done, even though they have amazing powers they just sat around and cried every episode about how someone was doing something bad. This show is about HEROES. Maybe they've finally gotten the point, Mohinder kicked *** and Peter showed initiative for once. Even Claire did something too, but I still don't like her. Sylar is still a badass.

does peter have to re-absorb all his powers now since he lost them and took the serum?

also, before he only have to be in close proximity to absorb a power and he could then call upon that power when ever he needed it, now it looks like he has to absorb the powers from someone rogue like.

Well Peter was able to obtain Nathan's power prior to the explosion and right after he injected himself, so maybe he didn't lose that aspect of his power.

Screw Peter, when does Hiro get his power back and how will it happen?

i have a feeling that Hiro will get his power in an urgent time
the producer might be waiting to use it as a deus ex machina like last time

2009-02-05, 1:33 PM #23
so good, i love the show

Sylar is one of the best villians ever
2009-02-05, 5:02 PM #24
See, I thought his retarded powers were due to the drugs slowing his system, or possibly his powers being underdeveloped. Remember when he first discovered his powers, he could only fly when Nathan was around. It was only later that he absorbed them permanently.

(I use the word 'retarded' in the sense of 'slowed down and weaker')

I thought it was okay, but the direction they're taking with nathan is just lame. He was a good guy, the stuff he's going through now is really out of character. He has way too many changes of heart throughout the series. What a flip-flopper. I can forgive it though, since at least now he's someone interesting. This show is now really starting to remind me of the 4400.
2009-02-06, 8:21 AM #27
Haha, the 4400 was a terrible show. It was like a really cheesy budget Heroes, with a dash of X-Files. It had a few fairly good individual episodes, but the story as a whole was terrible. Especially when they established 'Promise City', the government agents that tried to 'storm' the place were more like little children playing hide and seek. And not very well, either.

Haha I can understand your opinion but in fact I really liked the show. There were some really cheesy parts but I did like the overall story. I liked most of the characters and I thought promise city was pretty cool. Maybe I liked the last season when others didn't because I watched it on flights to/from Hawaii ;)

Well he is a politician. :P

Really though he started off more as the bad guy, I think they're shooting for a more first series feel. :carl:
nope.

And the hilariously unsubtle Christian parables (Jordan Collier, heh) too, I bet.
