A Brits view on the New President so far...

Obama also told republican senators to stop listening to dissenting opinions. Opinions of people who dissent with the senators? No. Opinions of people who dissent with Obama. OABAMA should be listening to dissenting opinions. That should be all he gets. Every single one of his advisers should disagree with him every single day. If he agrees with them too much, he should fire them and get another one.

On a somewhat related note to the above, Obama signed an executive order forming an Econoic Recovery Board today.

(Btw, I find it amazing that I'm actually checking the White House site regularly now when in the past 16 years I've probably visited it 3 or 4 times)

Edit: And this is completely unrelated, but I was randomly clicking through past presidential elections on Wiki and am befuddled as to why Robert M. La Follette, Sr. , the Progressive candidate, didn't win the 1924 Election. I mean, just look at him:

Now compare him to the competition:

Coolidge - TOTALLY uncool

John Davis - Clearly a stiffass

With a name like that and being so obviously more suave and rockstar-ish (I guess then it would've been Jazz-star-ish), it is a travesty he did not prevail. I mean, in the least, his beautiful hair destroys the fading comb-overs of the other two.
