Can't beat a cheese and bacon burger. Although I'm sure someone will come in with some American fast food chain's super deluxe whopper burger that has way too many condiments on it and claim it's made by God or something :P

Pig burger (cow, yuck)
Cheese

I typically just do that, but if I'm feeling like for a super burger any of the following can be added

pickes
caramalized onions
onion rings
hot peppers
bacon
whatever is laying around I need to get rid off before it goes bad

NEVER lettuce or tomatoes. Bleh

Back in my meat eating days I would make the meanest most tasty burgers on earth. You get a big ol' ball of ground beef and IN the beef you mix chunks of swiss, cheddar, and chipolte cheese, bbq sauce, fresh garlic and onion, liquid smoke, and bacon. Then cook the burger and eat it as is.

Nowadays I enjoy myself a nice Morning Star Veggieburger (Garden Variety, not the Grillers) with a slice of cheddar on the top of it, then on top of that sauteed onions, done up in A1 and worcestershire sauce, then on top of THAT a slice of swiss. NOM NOM NOM.

i ate a burger
and you eat no meat SAJN?

2009-02-11, 3:57 PM #35
Nope, I've been a vegetarian for about a year now. Not for any particular reason either. I started it as a bet, and just continued it because it was so easy and healthy.

Morning Star makes good fakechicken burgers. Don't like their other stuff. Local hippystore carries some dehydrated burgermix which is really good.

but the ultimate answer is a falafel burger

I eat the veggie burgers as well...but not really by choice as I can't eat beef, anything too similar to beef, or now anything even cooked near beef (my friends often asked me why I haven't killed myself). My favorite burger, veggie or not, has either been with one slice of cheese and some ketchup, or one slice of cheese and some barbecue sauce. Back when Bennigan's was around, they had a really good black bean veggie burger in a pita with barbecue sauce. If it wasn't for chicken and turkey being so darn tasty, I'd probably be a vegetarian - (although I do love Boca's Chik'n Patties and Nuggets!)

Are you a 100% vegetarian? Just curious. Like if you went to a restaurant and the menu was either pork, beef, or chicken would you go hungry or would you eat what was in front of you?
2009-02-11, 5:17 PM #39
I'm very strict about it, yeah. I'd not eat at that restaurant.
