So I spent about $2500 over the last 3 or 4 days on electronics.

Biggest purchase:
Philips 50" plasma HD TV.
For the TV, I also bought a 6.5' HDMI cable and a HDMI to DVI adapter (I know you can buy an HDMI to DVI cable, but they didn't have one, so I bought the cable and the adapter seperately) which I used to hook the TV to my computer (I'm using it now as I post this), and a glass topped TV stand.

Next biggest:
Garmin NĂ¼vi 255W GPS Navigator

After that, I also bought for my wife Seasons 1 - 7 (excepting 4 cause I already had that one) of Smallville (on sale at Best Buy for $24.99, regularily $44.99), and World of Warcraft Battle Chest (includes WoW, WoW: Burning Crusade, Bradygames strategy guides for both, and 1 month of play for $39.99).

Then for me I bought a DeWalt power drill (corded) to put together the TV stand (which I still need to do).

I still need to buy a computer desk (gonna look tomorrow, cause I haven't seen one I liked yet) and office chair (wheeled and probably leather finished and high backed), a couple floor lamps, and probably a desk lamp to go on the computer desk, then I'm thinking about maybe a flatscreen monitor (or maybe 2) for my computer (I'm still using old school CRT monitors), and possibly an iPod or a Zune (Will a Zune work with iTunes (not iTunes purchased music, but the player itself)?). And also, I need to buy a wifi router and possibly a laptop or 2nd computer for my wife, and a new steering wheel for my Ford Explorer, because the horn button is broken on it.

So that's about it. Post recent or upcoming purchases. Or things you just flat out want. And suggest cool stuff I should have.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

You need yourself a badass charcoal grill. It'll change your life.

And don't buy seasons of Smallville. Make friends with isohunt/mininova.

Only iPods work with iTunes.

However, non-DRM purchased iTunes music will work on Zune. Just use the Zune Software to sync if it bothers you so much, although I find iTunes to be terrible in comparison to just about every music playing including the Zune Software :gonk:

Umm.. all the reviews I read said it was a pretty good lower priced television.

For example, this one.

I've enjoyed it so far, but do you have another suggestion? Cause I've got 90 days to return it.

ALso, i didn't win the lottery, I joined the military. :p

And CM, thanks for the info on the mp3 players. I personally love iTunes. What is it you don't like about it? Or what makes other players better?

Also, that would be awesome, but sadly, I don't have a yard.

And I prefer to buy them. I'm not a huge fan of piracy for a number of reasons, (primarily I like to have a physical copy). Besides, I've got the money.

I wouldn't say that around here, this isn't a torrent friendly community.

and I agree, apple tv would be a great choice. Either that, or theres some free satellite TV service floating around. My uncle has it. Basicially you buy a dish and box from any company, (the kit cost him $150) and you point it at some canadian satellite, connect the box to some specified internet server and boom, free TV. He even has a program on his computer to emulate DVR.

Its legal from what he was telling me, but I am convinced there is some kind of catch. I think its pirated personally, but hell, he even gets NFL sunday ticket for free. Its something you might want to look into. No HD though, but who can argue with free? Unfortunately I don't have too much information on it myself, only what I've seen at my uncles.

You're gonna tell me now to suggest a torrent site and then suggest something else you're not sure is legal?

And why would anyone want an Apple TV? From the last time I used it, it was a complete waste of money.

Perhaps.

But I guess me suggesting isohunt or mininova is more of an insult to Smallville itself than a praise for pirating, as I don't really like the show.

But I'm one of those guys that likes having physical copies myself. But I still download the TV shows I already own anyway, it's just easier to fire up the 360 and stream em instead of pulling out the DVDs.

AppleTV now is a pretty low cost solution for a media PC. Hacked (which is as easy now as installing to a thumb drive and plugging it into the ATV, let it restart, voila), it's a pretty awesome little machine that can run XBMC or Boxee for incredibly cheap (along with the iTunes collection of movies you can watch).
