Except for 4chan, those all have some strong association. Something awful hosts content that is "awful," YTMND is based off the original Sean Connery "you're the man now, dog!" Digg has the option to "dig" things. Massassi has a stupid little temple logo...

Do you hear that? It's the sound of my point flying over your head.

My point is that digg has a catchy name, it's related to the action of "digging" something, or liking it. That's why it's okay to be an odd name, and why no one says "wtf is a dig." Massassi doesn't have anything like that, making Massassi a poor name choice for something not Star Wars related.

I always thought it has some ring to it. "Mass-sass-ee." That is, if you leave the "Temple" portion out.

If anything, it's easy and fun to type.

Every time I tell my email address to people over the phone or in person they make me repeat it and then ask me wtf a "massassi" is. I always tell them it's an obscure star wars reference (although less obscure since JO/JA or whatever game it finally showed up in) and they roll their eyes.

Actually I had CM turn my brian at massassi d0rt nut account off because it gets like 14k spams a day. Actually now it's forwarding to a spam catcher thing for my latest contract gig but that's beside the point. I use one at massassi.com nowadays.
