Kenny Rogers is within 10 blocks from my house, patently drunk.
This knowledge seemed strangely comforting. I think I might end up going to his concert just for the novelty of it. "I saw Kenny Rogers in concert, sober."

Post the worst concert/play/movie/performance you went to.

Prince is another one I'd see in concert just to say I did it. What do you do at a Prince concert besides shade your eyes from the pants-glare?

Prince is a pretty awesome guitarist.

Hrmm, worst gig I've ever seen...

Either Vampire Weekend or The Coral, if seeing them at festivals counts.
nope.

The Mars Volta or Paul Gilbert. Both performances were obviously full of talent but also painfully dull and extended.

A college production of My House Was Collapsing Toward One Side. It was pretty much every stereotype about bad, pretentious postmodern theater all rolled into a single play.

Papa Roach was stunningly boring. My GF and I left early and saw a local band who played an infinitely better live show.

[edit] I take that back, Angels and Airwaves was the worst, because I still can't decide whether the crowd or the band was worse. They opened for Weezer, who weren't bad at all.

While I was in school, my then-girlfriend dragged me to the campus' Rocky Horror Picture Show production. It was holiday themed.

Being the only male in the audience, the cast kept trying to interact with me. One guy, the blond naked dude, came up to me and told me to make a muscle. I stared at him blanky.

In retrospect, I should have stood up and started to unzip my fly. Hindsight is 20/20.

make a muscle? WTF?

i haven't been to many shows except for local bands and usually the whole show wasn't bad but there have been quite a few crappy bands

movies i take the time to see in the theater are movies i generally know i'm going to like even when a friend hooked me up with a one year pass i didn't go to see everything just movies i wanted to see

i don't see many plays because they don't do the ones i'd want to see or they do them when i can't go

though the first of the local d-day reenactments was extremely disappointing so i guess that counts... it was hastily thrown together with only a handful of people some of the US reenactors using completely wrong uniforms (one guy with vietnam uniform/gear running around with a Garand another in generic green pants and shirt and a camo hat) and the "german bunker" was some plywood thing that looked like it was thrown together the night before... after that first one the rest were better planned/executed

Eagles are pretty bad

I saw this band open for Primus called "Cuba Tuba" that was dreadful. They were like a prog metal band feature a drummer (who was also singer), a guitarist who didn't know how to play a guitar but used FX constantly, and a tuba player. Their 15 minutes "epics" were not appreciated and not well-received.

I can't comprehend how one could find that "awful".

The worst show for me is probably Between the Buried and Me. Great song ideas, but way too long, and no stage presence whatsoever. They just stood there the entire time.

Within temptation were pretty good. Not mind blowing though.

They are awesome, just dreadfully boring on stage unfortunately. =(

Coulrophobia was probably the best song of the set though, sonicially it was just excellent.

If they were the worst thing you've seen, yes.
nope.
