Got a new laptop with an 8600GT, time to get back into some PC games. What have I missed in the last 2 years?

Already played BIOSHOCK on 360, and Crysis is a lot of fun so far.

I did the auto-detect settings deal in Crysis, it's 800x600 but everything at high, looks pretty good since it's only a 15.4 screen. Got Far Cry 2 as well, it's installed but I haven't tried it out yet.

Got L4D for 360 and beat it already, it's pretty fun

I'll check out FEAR.

Oh yeah, Far Cry 2 is pretty fun if you have the right mindset.

Unfortunately I don't have any suggestions for you since I just recently re-entered the gaming world too >_<

Minimum is apparently a P4 2.4 & 6800, maybe I can? Going to give it a try anyway. Fallout 3 is awesome?

Mirrors Edge is awesome. So is Burnout Paradise. And Mass Effect.

Which are all ports I guess. But they're done well. Especially Burnout.

Fallout 3 runs on my machine and I only have a GF 8300GS.

but I have a quad-core system with 2 gigs of ram as well :downs:

L4D is great... but the thrill of it is over for me. It's turning into 4vs4 Zombie Counter Strike. Everyone knows exactly what to do, where to go, and when to do what. It's basically just a matter of who effs up and who doesn't now.

I still think campaign is fun, but there aren't very many people that still like to play just plain ol co-op. I like to play it on Expert... good challenges.
