maybe i should remind you i'm running an AthlonXP 3000+ 1GB RAM 7800GS (AGP)

unless you have an AGP option that would be worth bothering with i think i'll stick to no bluray on my PC

not for bluray/HD DVD playback

plus the main reason i'd want to play a bluray on my PC is for direct screengrabs and the only known method to get full resolution screenshots doesn't seem to work with any video card's hardware decoding

Just use CoreAVC, it's faster than hardware.

yeah, I was able to play a bluray on a p4 2.66ghz ht with a 6600gt using coreavc. holy **** it's awesome.
gbk is 50 probably

Do you still need software to play the disc, or does CoreAVC take care of that as well?
