What software do you use to manage your iPod, MP3 players and such? I'm using iTunes and its a pain in the *** to manage the library. Any other recommendations?

I just manually drag and drop. I don't change the music on my player enough for it to be inconvenient.

If you have a jailbroken touch or iPhone, iSlsk (I think it's called MewSeek now or something else ... it was changed when the 2.0 firmware came out but I'm still using 1.x) lets you download songs over SoulSeek and import them without having to use your computer. Pretty handy.

I occasionally sync with WinAmp.

Damn iPhone 2.0 firmware locks it down. Pisses me off.

I have not changed my ipod in about year.
It's loaded with everything that is completely awesome. Nothing has been released lately that I care to listen to that the radio isn't playing every other song.

I've always used winamp, but my new iphone has newer firmware and won't let me use any kind of good program with it =\

I agree with using itunes manually. I use it and have no problems with it. My only gripe is how long it takes to open. Its like booting up windows 95.

I just created a massive playlist in iTunes called "Awesomes" with all the stuff I like, and sync that.

I has no iPod.

I use the Zune software for my...wait for it..Zune! Seems to work ok, but the interface takes a little getting used to...I'm still a fan of the old drag-and-drop like a flash drive.

I do this with Zune, and have it autosync my playlist on connect. It's the same playlist I listen to on the PC, so it's nice when it automatically updates any changes I make.

Do you just use an m3u playlist and manage it with a different program, or do you use the Zune software for playback?

I use Zune exclusively anymore. I found it rather stupid to use another program when it did everything I needed anyway, plus the integration with Marketplace which I wouldn't have otherwise.

Ah. Do you have Zunepass?

I'm tempted to use Zunepass and cancel Sirius...too many commercials on the non-music stations, and the music stations are pointless if I have unlimited access to music. I just haven't looked at the selection much- not sure how much of a variety they have.

I might use Zune for MP3 and keep using foobar for FLAC..but until I completely redo my sound system, FLAC is rather pointless anyway (other than for archival purposes).

Well they have that 14-day trial, so try it out and see if they have what you like. I find the selection to be pretty comprehensive, and it's been growing rapidly.

I use the Zune Pass myself, and have been since the the beginning. With the addition of using Zune Pass to download stuff straight onto the Zune, it's a pretty awesome deal.

Can the Zune itself pick up Zunepass stuff from any open wifi?
