But fun as hell to watch!

I feel bad for "Phil" at the end of the first race. He must have been ticked!

I was in one of the TF2 griefing vids, as a player not a griefer. It's always fun to watch but never to be in.

Yea, watching MoD in JK was funny. Getting MoDed sucked.
2009-03-05, 10:08 PM #4
I remember fade hacks, and one that borked the keyboard.
Also playing CTF with a friend and a completely random stormtrooper appeared. Didn't hurt anyone, but it was really strange.

Anyone remember build cogs?
2009-03-05, 10:11 PM #5
I never edited JK, but I knew knew enough to mess around wit cog files. I had a repeater conc rifles :P

Build cogs were awesome on MotS in levels such as Katrassi. Plenty of room to do whatever. They made for interesting RPGing as well.

I distinctly remember the one guy in MotS RPGs who always had the buildmod. His name was Bartender.

As far as JK hacks, the flood hacks were always amusing and fun.

JK pretty much had the most awesome hacks out of any game ever made.

The Valley Tower (Or whatever the map with the really tall tower was named) was a great level. I remember someone using most of the level to make a gigantic fortress of lagdoom.

I'm not sure if it's what you're thinking of .. but there was one were the whole level was really high. You could use a .3do cog hack to produce platforms to get to the bottom of the level...Usually using the octogan platform.
That was always fun.

Your referring to the level when you encounter Maw correct?

More reason to not play online multiplayer. Not only does this guy hack, but he doesn't even have the decency to win. He's doing it just to piss other players off.

That was an extremely boring video.
I watched through the first race, waiting for something fun or interesting as was promised by the post, but no...

I remember on Counterstrike there was some bizarre hack where you could spawn yourself anywhere, it was like you were in the 'ghost' mode except you were still alive and had guns and could mow everyone down with a big machine gun. It was cool, but you got banned from the servers within minutes.

Rumors abound of aimbots in Quake Live despite punkbuster. I can believe it seeing as how one or two individuals regularly score 2x the score of the second highest player, often pulling off incredible shots to do so.

At the same time my old room-mate was completely insane at counterstrike. And would usually get at least 2x the score of the next highest player.
He'd hear a footstep from the other side of the wall, spin round and shoot them in the head.
No hacks, just ridiculousness.

Or just use the grappling hook if you were using any one of the 10 mods that had one. (Like Spork!)

You know a game has awesome hacks when the fondest memories are of said hacks.

Or just all-around awesome multiplayer. :awesome:

Not such a minority. I stopped playing Gears2 because every match had at least two of the following three things : Lag, Glitchers, or **** talkers who bragged about how they were going to kick our *** and then *****ed when they lost.

Also, I got sick of being accused of being a glitcher because I was capable of aiming a sniper rifle.

sounds like Zone JK back in the day.

I still say one of the best harassive moments in JK was to start a SS3 game at oasis and bomb the living **** out of everyone with cluster bombs. God I miss those days.

I remember how grappling to the sky would always make you go randomly hopping around, it was an awesome escape tactic.
